My name is Brittany Erickson. I am orignally from Slidell, LA , a small city about 35 miles north of New Orleans. I grew up on the bayou! I moved to New Orleans in October of 2008 and decided to start Bae's Dog Walking shortly thereafter. Prior to starting the business, I did a 3 month internship at the Species Survival Center for the Audubon Institute where I worked with exotic cats and many other endangered species.
I volunteer with The Animal Assistance League and Pontchatrain Humane Society where I did fostering. I do wildlife rehabiltion. Iv'e done tons of animal rescues independently.
The one thing you will learn real quick when you meet me is that my family and my animals are the most important things in my life. And I am truley blessed with a wonderful family and amazing pets I get to work with everyday.
I have a 3yr old Pitbull/Labrador mix named Zamora (shown in the picture on the front)She is permantly blind in her right eye. A 3lb 7 year old Chihuahua rescue named Tillie. I rescued a cat named Farley, an 8 year old diabetic cat.. Then there are my two other cats: Thor, my 5 year old asthmatic, and Lestat, my 6 year old.
I have tons of domestic animal experinces as well. I have hand raised dogs, cats, squirrels, possums, and raccoons. I have trained horses and was a a grand champion hunter jumper by the age of 13. I worked on mulitple farms working with horses, cows, goats, birds and pigs. I have personally owned guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, ferrets, hampsters, turtles, snakes, ducks, chickens, bearded dragons, and miniature goats. I love all animals!
