About Me

My name is Brittany Erickson. I am orignally from Slidell, LA , a small city about 35 miles north of New Orleans. I grew up on the bayou! I moved to New Orleans in October of 2008 and decided to start Bae's Dog Walking shortly thereafter. Prior to starting the business, I did a 3 month internship at the Species Survival Center for the Audubon Institute where I worked with exotic cats and many other endangered species.

I volunteer with The Animal Assistance League and Pontchatrain Humane Society where I did fostering. I do wildlife rehabiltion. Iv'e done tons of animal rescues independently.

I have tons of domestic animal experinces as well. I have hand raised dogs, cats, squirrels, possums, and raccoons. I have trained horses and was a a grand champion hunter jumper by the age of 13. I worked on mulitple farms working with horses, cows, goats, birds and pigs. I have personally owned guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, ferrets, hampsters, turtles, snakes, ducks, chickens, bearded dragons, and miniature goats. I love all animals!

I have a 3yr old Pitbull/Labrador mix named Zamora (shown in the picture on the front)She is permantly blind in her right eye. A 3lb 7 year old Chihuahua rescue named Tillie. I rescued a cat named Farley, an 8 year old diabetic cat.. Then there are my two other cats: Thor, my 5 year old asthmatic, and Lestat, my 6 year old.

Bae's has been walking my 118lb Doberman Pinscher for 6 months (4-5 days/week while I work and for my mother) Brittany Erickson is very professional, courteous, friendly to the dog and to the owners. Bae's knows the animal buisness very well and the dog really loves her. The Doberman Pinscher has a sweet dispostions; The Bae's Dog Walker would agree to that.

Baes Notes: He is such a big teddy bear. I love Ramses. He also loves his hugs and his pepperoni treats =) He has such a sweet dispostion. I enjoy walking him.

Bae's Notes: This Is Layla, my smallest client. She is a cutie pie! We are at Audubon park in this photo. She loves to chase pigeons and squirrels. I have a nickname for her, I call her my little gazelle because when I brought her to the park the grass was tall and when she was running through it she looked like a little gazelle...hehe. She has 2 brothers at home Gizmo and Brooklyn(which are some of the coolest cats) Both of them love their bellies rubbed =)

Baes Notes: Marley and Charlie(the kitties) Charlie is white and tan he is a cool calm cat. Look at his beautiful eyes =) Marley is the female on the top, everytime I pet sit she is always meowing at me, she likes attention, she likes to be scratched on top of the head. I love that picture of the both of them! Allie is the sweet girl in the pictures above. She is one of the happiest dogs I know. We enjoy our walks around the neighborhood, she loves to stop and smell everything.

This is Hershey, our baby girl who loves being in the yard and playing ball. I would recommend Bae’s Dog walking service to any one who truely loves their pet. We used Bae’s services while we were on vacation this past August. We needed someone to feed, change Hershey’s water and play her favorite game, fetching her tennis ball. Bae’s did a great job. We returned home to find Hershey healthy, happy and ready to play ball. It was like we never left her. Thanks Bae’s.

I am a volunteer for the Animal Assistance League of Slidell and was in charge of the Pet Smart animals. Brittany was one of the volunteers that took care of the animals and she did an outstanding job. I was very confident of her abilities to spot a problem early (such as upper respiratory or stress) because of her background working with animals and because she took time with each of the animals. She has successfully fostered several puppies and kittens for the AAL and we also did some work together at a Clearwater Wildlife Sanctuary. I have 7 rescued dogs and a number of other animals that she has taken care of for me when I was out of town and I know that they are in the best of care.
